Zapping the posts would be an admission he was wrong to start with, something that's very hard for someone with a king-sized ego to admit.

So now Gheen advocates for censorship because he can't control his big mouth! Shocked

It's only censorship when someone censors Gheen or one of his followers. If Gheen censors someone then that is just preventing race baiting, etc.

They are all a bunch of liars.  That's not stuff one just jokes around with.  And to prove their all a bunch of liars, W says:
Quote
The ALIPAC site is experiencing heaving traffic! There are over 1,000 people on the website right now.

We have entered a whole new web traffic range with our page views now bouncing between 80-100k per day!

But if you look down at the bottom of their page it reads:
Quote
In total there are 88 users online :: 4 Registered, 3 Hidden and 81 Guests   [ Administrator ]   [ Moderator ]
Most users ever online was 204 on Tue Dec 19, 2006 1:43 pm
But of course those numbers are from the forum (and I believe most of those "Guests" are doing as me, siphoning off "evidence"), the other several hundreds plus could be viewing webpage content - still probably very inflated numbers...

"Guests" wouldn't be posting, and if Willy is actively commenting about users online he is counted as one out of the seven remaining...

Interesting quote by William Gheen. After an ALIPACer joked about impersonating an Immigration agent with a downloaded paper patch in an ER to get quicker service, Gheen stated:
Quote
We do not allow people to advocate any illegal actions at ALIPAC even in jest.

http://tinyurl.com/3698pf
The poster who challenged the illegal action was banned, but the original post advocating an illegal act is still there.

Well, excuse me, but what was PintoBean's comment about a bounty for "rednecks with shotguns" that Gheen thought was "humorous." If ALIPAC doesn't allow posts advocating illegal actions "even in jest" then why didn't William Gheen take action against PintoBean, and also delete the post? Hypocrites!!!

I've been addicted to that site for months now and I can't understand how they manage to stay afloat. Does everyone remember how the fundraiser was a total bust? They never did reach their goal.

What I'm curious about is how the mods and Gheen are paid. I tired to search their site for financial information but couldn't find any. Is Gheen paid through donations or does he get money every time he shows up on TV as a guest? Do they have 1 primary donor keeping them afloat?
Does anyone know where I can get access to this info?

Here's their FEC reports, which are available on-line:

William Gheen gave himself a raise to $3,500 per month early in 2007.

Correct me if I'm wrong. In 2007  Gheen's paycheck consisted of  30% of their total budget.

Gheen gets $3,500 a month      and ALIPAC's total budget is $72,418 for half the year

72,418 x 2 =  144,836 yearly budget

3,500 X 12months =42,000/yr Gheen gets paid   Good amount in North Carolina

42,0000/ 144,836 =30%

The rest went to dinners, hotel rooms and gas. Only a little went to the website.

Other than Gheen going on TV, they don't do anything but bitch about things on their website.
That crappy website takes 144,836 dollars a year to run!

Any organization that eats AT LEAST 30% of donations to paying for the salary of the founder and the rest goes to dinners, gas, and hotel rooms for him is a scam.

If I was a donor (which I'm not), I would add up all the gas expenses because they seem suspect. I don't have the time or patience  right now.

And 30% is the lowest percentage to date with ALIPAC, reflecting the large expenditure (and fund raising) for the automated phone calls made. It was closer to 90% in past years.

Note also there were no payroll tax payments of any kind reported in any of their reports, though Gheen is a regular employee per IRS guidelines. He tried to tell us on HB that he's an independent contractor, but fails to meet about half of the IRS guidelines.

One question:

Where in hell is all that money coming from?

While brand X may have more traffic than we do, they have what - 21 people actively using the site?

Where is all that money coming from?

Gheen pays himself $42K a year, and that may be good money in Raleigh, but it still won't cover his traveling expenses unless he's living on a diet of peanut butter and rice (which by the look of him is very possible.)

So where's all that money coming from?

And how is he getting away with it?

ALIPAC pays his travel expenses too, though if you look at the IRS guidelines for independent contractors it states they pay their own expenses and costs, are paid by the job not the time period, etc.

Gheen did special fund raising for the automated callers, scaring the bejesus out of the alicrappers that amnesty was going to pass, the North American Union was going through, etc. to raise a huge sum for 1+ million phone calls.

That Call Center must have cost a pretty penny, too.

Things just don't add up.

I mean, a Call Center handling 1+million calls would probably cost around $75k all by itself (facility, utilities, phones, organizers, database (probably had 'volunteers' man the phones, otherwise the cost would have doubled.))

Unless of course he borrowed the facilities of someone else's call center (but why would anyone give up their own campaign drive?)

If I were a speculating sort of guy (heaven forbid!,) I'd start speculating about some Sugar Daddy supporting this crew - strictly off the books.

That is, if I were a speculating sort of guy.

Heaven forbid.
