A conservative columnist laments that "all" the ladies are gone. In a column about how young women in America no longer conduct themselves respectfully.
I don't know where this columnist has been hanging her hat, but I've got a funny feeling she hasn't been keeping company in Spanish speaking sectors of America. Yeah, there's Gloria Trevi and Alexis Amore, but there are plenty of true ladies among the Latinas in this nation and throughout the world.

Oh, I can't help but to despise that site. It's not the views so much, it's the friggin' popups and pop-unders and god knows what else.
To the subject at hand.
I've been on this planet a tad longer than Ms. Molina, and I must say, at the end of the day, I'd much rather know a woman who can feel comfortable with people of either gender than spend an interminable evening with some "lady" who's worried about the place setting and the way others act.
That's not to say I prefer the company of women who act like Prohibition has been reinstated and need to drink everything at the bar; that kind of excess is something most folks of either gender get out of their systems by the age of 25, and if they haven't grown up by then, they never will.
But if I have my druthers, I'd rather share a table with some emotionally secure women willing to drink a beer out of the bottle and let fly an expletive once in a while than have to endure a self-centered "lady."
Oh, I found this most telling...
Eva Lorraine Molina, a junior at Amherst College, is a summer intern for the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute. Come back in ten years and lecture us, kid. Right now you're all of ten minutes out of your wet nappies and really have no idea what you're talking about.

So I'm not the only one who finds Townhall dot come to be annoying. It seems like they use every gimmick available to slow down a computer.
With respect to "ladies", I just wanted to point out that so many of the immigrant women that I've met meet anyone's definition of "lady".

Well, I was thinking of the stuffed shirts (blouses) in England, the types who can't be bothered to be seen carrying out the garbage or so much as passing the time of day with the chauffeur. It's those and those who aspire to such anal retentiveness that are the focus of my disdain.
I have however met many Hispanic women who carry themselves with a quiet dignity and grace even in the worst possible situations, who are always willing to help others and who may have to compromise on occasion, but never compromise their principles.
They're not ladies.
They're angels.
